Post History: Charter Members of Vincent F. Picard Post 234, American Legion -- The following World War veterans submitted a request for a Post Charter to Massachusetts Department of the American Legion in October of 1919.

The charter was for the Vincent F. Picard Post 230. The American legion charter was granted on November 1, 1919, due to a Department error in Post Number assignments two Posts were granted the 230 charter. A subsequent correction was made and the number 234 was assigned to Northborough’s Post.
